MARCH 4

"After that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying .... The kingdom of God is at hand, repent ye and believe the Gospel."- Mark 1:14,15

John’s mission was to prepare the people of Israel to receive their Savior. When John was imprisoned, Jesus began his ministry, which was to preach the Gospel of the coming kingdom of God, and open the way to the high calling, or heavenly reward. John 1:29
