"Why died I not from the womb? ... For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept; then had I been at rest."- Job 3:11,13

Job’s loyalty to God had been greatly tested. He had lost his family and his livestock and was very sick with boils over all his body. In these verses Job shows that death is not a state of life on a different plane, but it is as sleep, or rest, until resurrection. Ecclesiastes 9:10
