"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."- Matthew 16:24

Jesus spent his life on earth being an example for and serving others. It led to a cruel death, even requiring him to carry the cross on which he was crucified. We carry our crosses by giving our lives in the service of our Master, sacrificing our self- interests. When our Master says, "Follow me," we can trust him, for he leads us in the right direction- to the Heavenly Father. 2 Timothy 3:12
