Solomon wrote “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing.” (Eccel. 9:5) Job prayed that God “wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!” (Job 14:13)

God has promised that he will bring forth all men from hell — the prison house of death. (Isa. 42:7) “All that are in the grave [hell] shall hear” the voice of the Son of Man [Christ] and come forth.
