"Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord."-1 Timothy 1:2

Paul loved Timothy as a son and a brother, for they shared a deep faith in God and Jesus. In this letter Paul prayed that Timothy would have God’s favor, and that God would deal kindly with him, giving him the peace that comes only from serving God to the best of our ability, knowing he is working in our lives. 2 Timothy 1:2
