"I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."  Colossians 2:2-3 NLT

"In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not throe hand: for thou knowsnot whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good."- Ecclesiastes 11:6

Telling others about God’s loving plan for blessing all the families of the earth is pictured as sowing our seed. We have no way of knowing whether or not those to whom we witness will want to learn more, so we should be prompt to use every opportunity to share the good news and leave the results to the LORD. Matthew 24:14

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air. (1 Corinthians 9:26)

It will be found a great help to the weaknesses of the fallen nature to have understandingly made a full consecration of the will,--a full enlistment of every power and talent of mind and of body. He who takes this proper view of his consecration to the Lord and enlistment in the Lord's army, realizes that he has nothing more to give to the Lord, and hence, whatever struggle of the will he may have is all ended when he has finally decided--"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." How important it is, therefore, that all the soldiers realize that the term of the enlistment is until death, and that there is no room for even considering any suggestion to withdraw from the battle and cease even for an hour to fight the good fight of faith.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. James 1:19

THE force of character which permits of anger is the very same force which otherwise directed signifies intensity of love: the inability to be angry under proper cause would imply imperfection, blemishes, just as inability to love strongly would imply similar defects of character. We who have been begotten of the Holy Spirit and who thus have the "mind of Christ," have the mind or disposition that is loving, generous, kind, forgiving toward our fellows and that is reverential and obedient toward God. This is the spirit or disposition that is of the Father and of the Son: the opposite disposition or spirit is of the Adversary. The two spirits or dispositions are so opposite that we cannot have both at once--we cannot serve God and mammon, Christ and Belial.
